A two-day Artists of the Rust Belt Winter Market will occur on the weekend of Feb. 11-12 at the B&O Station, located at 530 Mahoning Ave. in Youngstown. The sale takes place from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb.12.
The family-friendly event will feature 35 artists selling their work, food by Pasquales and Rust Belt beers on tap. Musical entertainment will occur each day music with the Guilty Pleasures performing on Saturday and The Womack Family Band on Sunday. According to sponsors, the event is the first of four markets scheduled for 2012 at the B&O.
Other events for 2012 include the Summer Market on June 9–10 to benefit Youngstown State University’s SMARTS program; the Artober Market on Oct. 6–7, benefiting the Oakland Center for the Arts; and the Last Minute Market on Dec. 15. All of the markets feature a spending raffle where for every $10 spent on art, patrons receive a raffle ticket they can enter in their choice of potential prizes.
The prizes for the Winter Market include $30 gift certificates to Vernon’s V2 Wine Bar, Vintage Estates, Artistic Demographic Tattoo, and the Rust Belt Theater Co.
