RECIPE: Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1  12-ounce package (2 cups) Nestlé semi-sweet chocolate morsels

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 375. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate morsels and nuts. Form and drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

BAKING

Bake at 375 for between 9 and 11 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies 2 1/4 inches around.
