Home Savings raises over $8,600 for animal-welfare organizations

With the financial boost of monies raised by Home Savings branches, many more animals in need of assistance will likely get the attention they need. On Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10, the Home Savings offices in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties raised over $8,600 by hosting bake sales .

 “Humane agencies work hard to reduce suffering and improve the lives of all animals,” said Terrie Bennett, area manager, who coordinated the effort. “They provide direct care and adoption services for hundreds of animals in need, and lots of other services too.  This effort is our way of saying thanks and to help give back to the communities we serve.”

These agencies benefited from the bake sale fundraisers:  Animal Charity (Mahoning County), $5,536.86; Humane Society of Columbiana County, $1,538.86; and Close to Home Animal Rescue (Trumbull County), $1,526.88.
