Hillandale Farms to donate 10,800 eggs to Second Harvest

On April 2, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will receive 10,800 eggs  from Hillandale Farms in time for Easter. It is part of a Feeding America food banks donation of 12 million eggs to help feed hungry Americans.

“Because we are a family owned company, we have always supported our local Feeding America food bank. We know the need is great and want to do our part in providing local families with our egg products during the Easter season,” said Warren Figulski, representative for Hillandale Farms.

“We greatly appreciate this donation of eggs and the year-round support of Hillandale Farms,” said Michael Iberis, executive director of the Food Bank. “They are generous donors to our food bank and to Feeding America food banks throughout the state.”

Second Harvest Food Bank provides food to 153 hunger relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.  They include church pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens, shelters for battered women and after school programs.  For additional information, call 330-792-5522 or visit http://www.mahoningvalleysecondharvest.org.
