Make a well and drop in the eggs, vanilla and 3 tablespoons rum.  Cut the butter (or margarine) into slices and lay over the top.  Knead ingredients into a smooth dough.  Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Roll out to approximately 1/8-inch thickness and cut dough with a star-shaped cookie cutter. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.  Cool. Mix powdered sugar with 11/2 tablespoons rum into a glaze. Spread over baked cookies.
