June 27, 2015: Local author Nancy Christie to appear, sign books at Poland Library

Nancy Christie, author of “Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories” and “The Gifts Of Change,” will be signing copies of her books from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 at the Poland branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. The event will also feature other local authors, artists and musicians.

“I’m looking forward to being part of this event,” said Christie. “Libraries are a critical part of our community, and I appreciate the support of the Friends organization to help create activities to generate interest in those in the arts.”

“Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories” was published September 2014 by Pixel Hall Press and has since garnered significant praise, including from Hal Blythe, fiction editor of The Chaffin Journal; Charles S. Weinblatt, book reviewer for New York Journal of Books; and Margaret Gust of Coastal Breeze News.

Her stories have also appeared in literary publications such as Wild Violet, EWR: Short Stories, Hypertext, Full of Crow, Fiction365, Red Fez, and The Chaffin Journal. She is also the author of two short story e-books, ‘Annabelle” and “Alice in Wonderland” (published by Pixel Hall Press).
