A $30,000 mock check from the Youngstown Foundation will be passed on Tuesday, March 13 to officials of the Youngstown City Schools, representing the foundation’s contribution to the Rayen Stadium Renovation Fund.
The contribution is the largest to date for the project, other than the previously reported contributions by the board itself and the Rayen Foundation.
The check passing will occur before the regular board of education meeting at the board offices at 20 W. Wood St. in Youngstown. The Youngstown Foundation mock check will be among several passed to board members in a pre-meeting ceremony.
Jan Strasfeld, executive director, will be representing the Youngstown Foundation.
